Love and Rockets – Kings Theatre – June 9, 2023

When the English gothic-rock four-piece Bauhaus initially broke up (they’d go on to reunite several times), three members, Daniel Ash (vocals and guitar), David J (bass, keys and percussion) and Kevin Haskins (drums, keys and vocals), went their own way, starting another band, Love and Rockets. And while the former group’s sound tended toward dark post-punk, the new group’ sonics involve glam rock and psychedelia. Love and Rockets, too, have disbanded and gotten the band back together more than once, and after not touring since 2009, they reunited last month to perform in the U.S., which brought them to Brooklyn to play Kings Theatre on Friday night.
