YACHT is a lot of things. It’s kind of a band, but it’s mostly a genre-and-media-spanning project founded and led by Jona Bechtolt. Bechtolt is a promiscuous genre-smasher, using his unique breed of beat-heavy laptop wizardry and grunge ethos to endless collaborations with west coast mainstays like Devendra Banhart, The Blow and Little Wings. YACHT’s heart is the shows: uncluttered, inspiring sessions of damaged dance moves and synchronized crowd-waving, backed by constantly changing elements -- PowerPoint presentations, audience Q&A sessions, and shamanistic video environments. Bechtolt and Claire Evans (now a full-time member) make anthemic power jams play them backwards and soak them in nearly-psychedelic cherry cola.
Jeffrey Jerusalem (of Yacht)
Producer, DJ and drummer for YACHT possesses his own incredibly engaging and vibrant live set of art-disco. His remix for YACHT's "Utopia" was hand-picked by DFA and can be heard in the clubs and on radio stations across the country and with a new album on the way Jeffrey is poised to take 2012 by storm.

Born in San Diego, raised in Nevada City, grazed in Portland, OR, Bobby Birdman is currently hovering in Los Angeles.

Bobby Birdman recently remixed Young M.C.'s "Fastest Rhyme", released on Delicious Vinyl, produced Guy Fantastico's album Nesting as well as the song "Please Explain Yourself" by Golden Shoulders, off their latest album, Get Reasonable. Bobby Birdman's latest album, New Moods CD/LP, is available now from Fryk Beat.
