Digital Tape Machine (feat. Joel & Kris of Umphrey's McGee)
Digital Tape Machine is a Chicago based band that is turning heads across the U.S. The band consists of members from multiple Chicago groups including Umphrey’s McGee, Strange Arrangement, Liquid Soul, Land of Atlantis, and the Hue. This group features Kris Myers, Joel Cummins, Joe Hettinga, Kevin Barry, David Arredondo, Marcus Rezak, and Dan Rucinski. The digital, yet analog force behind the music produces a very modern, electronic sound. Some listeners have described it as video game music. The electronic dance, Tech house, dance house, deep house, post-industrial, drum n bass and hip hop are all elements of DTM. The edgy music is matched with enthusiastic crowds with smiling faces. The band is rapidly gaining momentum from late night festival sets and soldout shows. Digital Tape Machine has a lot of exciting music and shows planned for 2011.

DJ My Boy Elroy
DJ My Boy Elroy
My Boy Elroy (David Arredondo) grew up musically inspired in San Diego, CA. After his departure to Colorado from his hometown, in 2001 (My Boy) Elroy's calling to the windy city was brought on by Grammy nominated Liquid Soul: Eddie Mills, Phill Ajarapu, and Mars Williams in 2004. Very shortly after a 31 show in 35 day tour with funky inspiration Mama's Cookin, his trip to Chicago began. Pursuing his dream to represent Chicago's soul and spirit with his incomparable beat box abilities since his arrival in Feb. 2005 he has quickly been recognized to impress many at such Chicago locations as the Riviera, DoubleDoor, Green Dolphin Street, Crobar, Vision Nightclub, Bottom Lounge, Martini Park, Funky Buddha Lounge, Subterranean, The Suite Lounge, Moonshine, The Uptown Lounge, Salud Tequila Lounge, Sopo, Martyr's, and performs with his band Liquid Soul for such events as the Taste of Chicago, The Windy City Wine Festival and venues like the House of Blues, North by North West, b1 (Moscow) Belly Up (Aspen) and it doesn't stop there! Chosen by Chicago's own unimaginable Midnight Circus has he been placed Music Director and DJ for their ever-inspirational performances for nearly 3 years and running as well as a previous 3 year collaboration with the ultimate tag-team force for your eyes and ears to allure: Liquid Soul and the Midnight Circus! Elroy has been recognized for his jaw-dropping talent to hit our souls with his uniquely collaborative beat box/DJ sets. And before you know it, has placed himself before the one and only Massive Attack at the Riviera in Chicago 2006. Opening for some of the legendary greats of our time such as B.B. King, and even Stevie Wonder in Kitzbuhel, Austria 2008, the near-21-years of beat boxing has made his message clear world-wide. With 14 years of experience behind the drum kit and eight years behind the wheels of steel, he does it without comparison. Inspired by many artists including Mike Patton, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Les Claypool, Daft Punk, and so many more, you can expect to get everything you're looking for from all sides of the house that jack your body. A sound that combines funk, house, hip-hop, and ambient moods, with verbal instrumentation in transition. So prepare yourself for smooth blends, hot grooves, and eclectic talents because My Boy Elroy is bringing it to make you stomp!
