Wild Beasts
Wild Beasts
In 2011, Wild Beasts released their third full length, entitled Smother. Their 2009 album Two Dancers was critically acclaimed and even earned them a nomination in the prestigious Mercury Awards. A year and a half later, Smother reveals a much more mature band. They've kept their distinct sound intact: oscillating falsetto and baritone vocals, lyrical wit, and a penchant for seedier topics. However, this album incorporates rich electronic textures and a subtlety of melody not heard in their earlier work. Wild Beasts fans will not be disappointed.
The Range
The Range
This beatmaker out of Providence, Rhode Island, combines sparkling, high-definition sounds with hypnotic vocal samples sourced from the darkest corners of YouTube to make music that hits hard in headphones or the club.

Following two EP's for Donky Pitch over the last 18 months, 'Nonfiction' is an 11 track full length that further defines The Range's uniquely crafted musical outlook; a sound that takes in ethereal classical instruments, tough intricate percussion, thick bass and packs them with melody and emotion. With nods to Jungle, Footwork, Grime and RnB, The Range manages to skilfully balance all his compositions into something that truly has no peers, proper song writing from a real talent.

The Range released 'The Big Dip' on Astro Nautico in 2011, followed by the two Donky Pitch EPs 'disk' and 'Seneca'. He has received support on BBC Radio 1 from Benji B, frequently playing shows across the US, and completed remixes for artists like Howse (Tri Angle), Kuhn (Civil Music) & Alphabets Heaven (King Deluxe). In August 2013 he played The Boiler Room US, which was followed by a string of UK and European dates in October (his first overseas shows) to co-incide with the album release.
