Jack Whitehall
With his boundless energy and razor-sharp wit Jack Whitehall is already regarded as one of the UK’s most exciting and accomplished comedy talents. His meteoric rise was kick-started in August 2009 when he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. After years of hard work and dedication, Jack’s stand-up career reached its pinnacle so far last year when his debut arena tour, Jack Whitehall Gets Around, saw him become the youngest solo comic to play the O2.

Jack’s first major foray into acting was his portrayal of former public schoolboy “J.P.” in the hit Channel 4 comedy drama Fresh Meat. Both Jack and the show received continued praise including a second British Comedy Award nomination for Jack as audiences devoured a further two series. In 2012 Jack created the hit school-based sitcom Bad Education. Jack co-wrote and starred in the show as hapless history teacher Alfie Wickers alongside a stellar cast including Mathew Horne and Harry Enfield. The critically acclaimed show ran for three series and culminated in The Bad Education Movie – a feature film which Jack also co-wrote and starred in. Additionally, ABC ordered a pilot episode in 2014, which was written by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck, and directed by Craig Zisk.

His multi-faceted success also includes appearances on hit TV panel shows such as QI, Big Fat Quiz of the Year, and Have I Got News For You and he has been a series regular on the BAFTA award winning Sky series A League Of Their Own for five series. In 2013, Jack began hosting his own chat show ‘Backchat’ on BBC 3 alongside his father Michael. The pair also authored the autobiographical Him & Me, an entertaining and irreverent account of their unique relationship.

In 2015 Jack was crowned “King of Comedy” for the third year in a row at the British Comedy Awards.

Last year, Jack appeared as “Zack” in Garry Marshall’s film MOTHER’S DAY, alongside Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis.
