"Melodies seem to come effortlessly for Temples, the English four-piece comprised of James Bagshaw (vocals, guitar), Tom Warmsley (bass, backing vocals), Sam Toms (drums) and Adam Smith (keys). Their debut album, Sun Structures, was a Top 10 UK debut, named Rough Trade’s “Album of the Year” for 2014. They played The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and festivals including Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound, Lollapalooza, amongst many others. All the elements people loved with that record remain intact on Volcano, but this time around, there’s a noticeable evolution presented from the outset. There are sun-dazed numbers and lysergic dream-pop songs and those where synth and mellotron interweave to beguiling effect. Entirely self-produced and written by all four members of the band, Volcano is the sound of Temples squaring up to their potential."
Lo Moon
Lo Moon
Lo Moon are a three-piece band based in LA who's debut song, a 7-minute sprawling anthem called“Loveless,” is already receiving early love from the likes ofNPR Music, KROQ, KCRW, KEXP, Buzzbands LA, and more. The song was recently featured on NPR’s “Heavy Rotation” list for 2016, with notable music programmer Bruce Warren of WPXN calling it “shimmering, immersive, and otherworldly... Loveless is a stop-you-in-your-tracks kind of song.” The song has already had over two million streams since it was released in the fall. The band are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album and will be releasing a music video by Warren Fu (Daft Punk, Strokes, Killers) for Loveless shortly.
